AWF are working with established contractors across the Wellington region and are looking for reliable STMS professionals who set the standard on site.

Responsibilities

Implementing, monitoring, and maintaining TMPs in line with site requirements; Completing site set-up and pack-down including signage, cones, barriers, and equipment checks; Running pre-starts/toolboxes and ensuring the crew understands the traffic plan and controls; Managing traffic flows safely around workers, plant, and the public; Completing site documentation (as required), reporting issues, and escalating risks early; Liaising professionally with site supervisors, clients, and the public when needed; Maintaining a strong safety culture and ensuring standards are met consistently

Requirements

Current STMS qualification; Solid understanding of traffic management and safe work practices on active sites; A calm, clear communication style and confidence leading on-site decisions; Reliability, strong situational awareness, and a professional approach; Full Class 1 licence; Ability to pass standard pre-employment checks; Applicants must have the current right to work in New Zealand; All candidates must pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screening test; Ministry of Justice criminal background checks are part of our standard process
