Technical Sourcer

We are hiring a Technical Sourcer to build the pipelines for Plaid's core Engineering and Data Science population. You will own the top of the funnel across one or multiple tech pipelines, from market research and pipeline strategy through to qualified candidates entering the interview process. You will carry a high req load across multiple teams at once, and you will do it without losing the details that make a pipeline trustworthy.

Responsibilities

Own top-of-funnel strategy and execution for technical reqs across Software Engineering or Data Science; Run talent research, including market maps, org mapping, open-source and technical community research, and advanced boolean and x-ray search; Write personalized outreach and own response rate; Operate at volume without losing precision, with disciplined follow-up cadences, accurate ATS hygiene, and clean data; Turn research into intelligence such as market maps, talent density views, and competitive hiring insights; Build diverse pipelines by design through research breadth and inclusive outreach; Partner with recruiters and hiring managers on calibration and role winnability; Track and report funnel metrics including response rate, screen pass rate, and stage conversion; Represent Plaid authentically as a candidate's first impression of the company

Requirements

3+ years of technical sourcing experience, including in-house sourcing at a high-growth technology company; Strong sourcing research technique and tooling: boolean and x-ray search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub and technical communities, publications and conference sources, and CRM or ATS sourcing workflows; Demonstrated success in high-volume, high-urgency environments, carrying multiple technical searches at once without dropping the details; Genuine fluency in technical skill sets, able to read a job spec, a GitHub profile, or a research paper and make a defensible call on relevance; Strong written and verbal communication; Data discipline, using funnel metrics to decide where to spend effort and explaining the pipeline with numbers; Meticulous attention to detail and personal ownership of data hygiene; A candidate-first approach built on empathy, transparency, and consistent follow-through

Nice to have

Experience sourcing in fintech, financial services, or another regulated environment; Experience producing talent intelligence or market mapping work that was presented to senior leadership and changed a hiring decision; Experience building sourcing playbooks or evaluating and rolling out sourcing tooling; Experience sourcing for distributed teams; Familiarity with inclusive sourcing practices and a track record of building diverse technical pipelines
