Telepharmacy Technician - (Onsite - Store 18091 Centralia, IL)- Part Time

Telepharmacy Technician role within CVS Health's Telepharmacy Remote Dispensing Pharmacy (RDP) locations. The role is responsible for all daily pharmacy operations, with Pharmacist oversight occurring from a separate Supervising Pharmacy location. Part-time position, anticipated 20 weekly hours. Typical pay range: $16.00 - $16.00 per hour base rate.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day Telepharmacy Remote Dispensing Pharmacy operations under Pharmacist oversight from a Supervising Pharmacy; follow company SOPs at each workstation; oversee safe and secure operation of the pharmacy, including serving as keyholder and protecting pharmacy products, especially refrigerated products and controlled substances; follow workflow procedures for production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off; complete controlled substance prescription fulfillment tasks, including counting, capturing images, and maintaining inventory; provide empathetic patient service and offer immunizations and other services; complete inventory activities as directed by the Telepharmacy Technician Team Leader; contribute to a high-performing team; remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntary travel to market stores; serve as peer mentor for onboarding and training new hires; comply with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and CVS policies; deliver additional patient health care services when the pharmacist is on-site where allowed by law; support immunizations where permissible, including obtaining Technician Immunizer status, educating patients, monitoring adverse reactions, reviewing patient information, and managing vaccine supplies

Requirements

Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification; at least 18 years of age if the state board does not mandate a minimum age; high school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or a high school equivalency program, if the state board does not mandate a minimum education requirement; National Certification (PTCB or ExCPT); state-level licensure as required by state; 1+ years full-time experience as a Pharmacy Technician; regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends; ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe; ability to concentrate on tasks over time and pivot quickly between tasks; ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy; customer service and communication skills; mathematical reasoning for prescription fulfillment; problem resolution skills; ability to be mobile and upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally, and stoop, reach, and use fingers and hands for repetitive tasks; close visual acuity; ability to receive and convey detailed spoken instructions

Nice to have

Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT-Adv); ability to become immunization certified; 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician; CVS Pharmacy Technician experience; previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting; experience in an Inventory Specialist role; ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations
