Telepharmacy Technician - (Onsite - Store 9270 -Wickenburg, AZ) - FT

CVS Health is seeking a Telepharmacy Technician for a full-time onsite role at a Telepharmacy Remote Dispensing Pharmacy location. The Telepharmacy Technician is responsible for all daily pharmacy operations, with Pharmacist oversight from a separate Supervising Pharmacy location, and focuses on day-to-day operations, execution, performance, and patient service excellence.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day Remote Dispensing Pharmacy operations under Pharmacist oversight from a Supervising Pharmacy; Follow company SOPs at each workstation; Oversee safe and secure operation of the pharmacy, including serving as keyholder, keeping alarm and safe codes, and protecting pharmacy product integrity, especially refrigerated products and controlled substances; Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment; Complete controlled substance prescription tasks, including counting, capturing images, and maintaining inventory; Complete any additional CII prescription fulfillment; Provide patient care at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone, including offering immunizations and other services and escalating patient problems; Complete inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by the Team Leader; Contribute to a high-performing team and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge; Remain flexible on scheduling and travel to other stores as needed; Serve as peer mentor for onboarding and training new hires; Comply with federal, state, and local laws, professional standards, CVS policies, and patient privacy requirements; Where permissible and certified, support immunizations, educate patients, monitor and respond to adverse reactions, collect patient information, and manage vaccine supplies

Requirements

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification; If the state board does not mandate a minimum age, must be at least 18 years of age; If the state board does not mandate a minimum education requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or a high school equivalency program; National Certification (PTCB or ExCPT); State-level licensure requirements vary by state; 1+ years full-time experience as a Pharmacy Technician; CVS Pharmacy Technician experience preferred; Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends; Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe; Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time; Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another; Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy; Friendly customer service orientation; Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with patients and colleagues; Active listening skills; Ability to use math to solve problems, such as determining tablets to dispense, day's supply, and number of bottles needed; Ability to identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action; Ability to assess business problems and create and execute action plans; Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods; Ability to lift, scan, bag, reach overhead, stoop, and perform repetitive finger movements; Close visual acuity; Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently; Ability to convey and receive detailed spoken instructions; Ability to perform any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager

Nice to have

Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT-Adv); Ability to become immunization certified; 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician; Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting; Experience in an Inventory Specialist role; Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
