Responsibilities

Comply with company policies including internal and external Health and Safety and Environmental standards; Work in a safe manner with due regard to own safety and that of others; Follow the required gowning procedures for all packaging areas; Wear and maintain required safety equipment when necessary; Set up packaging area in preparation for packaging and labelling operations in accordance with GMP, including routine checking and testing of equipment and environmental conditions; Fill solids, liquids and semi-solids into final/intermediate containers manually or by using a full range of equipment; Inspect tablets, capsules and other pharmaceutical products for defects; Assemble and label patient packs for open, single blind, double blind or double-dummy studies in accordance with the packaging job card; Complete all documentation promptly and accurately to meet cGMP requirements, including materials received, reconciliation, in-process checks, AQL's and any required integrity testing; Print and overprint cartons, labels and other packaging materials with batch related information; Clean all areas of packaging and associated equipment in accordance with procedure; Maintain housekeeping during all packaging procedures; Complete effective line clearance including required documentation; Calibrate associated equipment as per written procedures and record results; Support the label room in label printing activity as required and per training level; Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the department Team Leader(s)

Requirements

Minimum of 4 GCSE's of grade C or above in Maths & English; NVQ Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Packaging would be advantageous; Clear and legible handwriting; Good practical aptitude with good hand and eye coordination along with good dexterity skills; A high level of attention to detail; Demonstrate a sound knowledge of cGMP principles
