VC Analyst - Internship

Hexa Scale is on a mission to offer a new alternative to fund and scale software companies towards exponential growth. The role helps the team find, select and invest in early-stage software companies in the 1-10m€ ARR range. The position is within Hexa Scale's team (Thibault, Augustin & Samuel) and is based in Paris.

Responsibilities

Participate in the deal-flow cycle to make 2/3 successful deals a year; Perform the first analysis of Inbound leads and guarantee a <48h contact to the entrepreneurs; Identify new companies that fit the investment scope each week and ensure strong volume at the top of the investment funnel (target: 30 identified companies); Help enhance the outbound tooling set-up (database, automations, scraping); Perform research on sectors selected for deep-dives (mapping of actors, products and features, competitive landscape, funding status and exit potential, value creation for customers, GTM structures); Participate in qualitative research with market experts, including identifying, reaching out to and organising calls with experts (e.g., 10+ interviews with key buyer personas on a researched market); Understand and analyse the business model, product, team, growth engine and business plan of targets, including key assumptions and risks; Support the team in intro and due diligence calls

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Master's degree of top Business/Engineering school; At least 1 experience in GTM, Tech M&A or an investment role (PE, VC); Entrepreneurship oriented: great doer, fast self-learner, self-starter mindset; Very curious about tech/software and permanently digging topics to get to the heart of things; Strong analytical skills and ability to articulate opinions with both numbers and concepts; Highly coachable: enjoying and asking for feedback and training
