Vice President of Sustainability and Impact

SH Hotels & Resorts is in search of a forward-thinking Vice President of Sustainability & Impact to manage and measure the sustainability initiatives across Starwood Hotels, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Operations and the Sustainability Governance Committee.

Responsibilities

Manage and measure sustainability initiatives across Starwood Hotels; Work with CEO and Sustainability Governance Committee to enhance and build on global sustainability initiatives; Create and manage internal educational materials and conduct training sessions; Act as primary liaison with hotel operations and staff; Procure and centralize relevant sustainability reporting; Communicate key programs and KPIs with investor relations team; Develop internal reporting framework and resource library; Oversee waste, recycling, food waste, and source reduction strategies; Develop and perform sustainability training for property-level teams; Maintain and update a database of communications and key facts; Manage sustainability activity calendar and develop local partnerships; Develop media and marketing materials related to sustainability; Maintain communications, marketing and branding strategy; Create educational and sales materials for development pitch decks; Participate in discussions with prospective developers; Evaluate properties and develop action plans for F&B sustainability; Support marketing team on communications and press releases; Vet products and partners for sustainability; Work with Sustainability and Engineering teams to measure key metrics; Manage 3rd party consultant for annual reports

Requirements

Minimum 5 years similar technical experience; Minimum five years supervisory experience; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Must possess legal work authorization to work in the United States; Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Communications or Engineering
