Visiting Nursing Association -Registered Nurse- Full Time- Days

The VNA of Manchester and Southern New Hampshire provides 24/7 in-home support and services to patients in Manchester and the surrounding communities. We are committed to helping our patients navigate the challenges they face at home while recovering from surgery or coping with life-limiting illnesses or physical disabilities. The VNA care team provides individualized care across the continuum, bringing peace of mind to patients and their loved ones while providing professional healthcare services in the comfort of home.

Responsibilities

Deliver care to patients and families with needs ranging from basic to complex utilizing the nursing process; Create a therapeutic and caring environment for patients and families; Practice in a manner consistent with the Elliot Hospital Interprofessional Practice model, the ANA's Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Nursing Code of Ethics; Embrace and promote change to support optimal patient outcomes; Involve patient/family in goal setting and planning and communicate the plan of care to patient, family, and colleagues; Demonstrate accountability for continued professional growth and development; Demonstrate accountability for own role in smooth operations of unit; Recognize and manage rapidly changing situations; Utilize current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to guide practice; Demonstrate competent clinical practice utilizing clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License; Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment; Nurses are expected to pursue professional certification upon eligibility or within three years of entering the specialty practice; Work schedule may include 8-12 hours per day with weekend/holiday coverage; Valid Driver's License required to travel throughout southern New Hampshire; Proof of automobile insurance required; Motor vehicle background report will be conducted
