After School Club Playworker - Northwood HA6

We're looking for an enthusiastic and caring Playworker / Activity Leader to join our After School Club team at Eastbury Farm Primary School. This is a fantastic opportunity to help create a safe, welcoming, and exciting environment where children can learn, play, and develop through a variety of activities including sports, games, arts & crafts, and structured play. No two days are the same, and every day is an opportunity to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging activities including sports, games, arts & crafts, and structured play; Create a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for children; Support children during arrivals, activities, and collection times; Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company procedures at all times; Ensure all sign-in and sign-out procedures are completed correctly; Prepare and provide refreshments while maintaining high hygiene standards; Assist with setting up and packing away equipment and activity areas; Complete accident, incident, and activity records where required; Communicate professionally with children, parents, colleagues, and school staff; Promote positive behaviour and encourage participation and engagement

Requirements

Experience working with children; A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude; Strong communication and teamwork skills; Reliable, responsible, and able to follow procedures; The ability to create a fun and safe environment for children; Energy, creativity, and a genuine passion for childcare and playwork

Nice to have

Previous experience working with children (desirable); Playworker; Childcare Assistant; Activity Leader; Teaching Assistant; Sports Coach; Youth Worker
