Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations; Manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts; Lead the store team members in servicing customers; Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers; Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs; Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours; Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members are staying current on their individual training; Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management; Ensure telephone answered according to company policy; Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers contacted upon shipment arrivals; Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently; Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and friendly, refunds issued accurately, and returned merchandise processed or staged correctly; Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store; Ensure Zipline messages are communicated, and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed; Ensure team members comply with company policies including adhering to posted work schedule, approved changes/deviations, and clocking in/out accordingly; Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights, locking doors/securing building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing/locking delivery vehicles; Assist store manager in maintaining store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles; All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Sales Specialist Training; Assistant Manager Certification; RSS Certification

Nice to have

Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
