Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager's absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations; Manage the store during the Store Manager's absence and/or when working opposing shifts; Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers; Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution of customer service programs; Ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak hours; Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring training is current; Assist in the hiring process, including recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, and evaluating candidates; Make sure telephone is answered according to company policy; Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon arrival as needed; Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases; Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently, refunds are issued accurately, and returned merchandise is processed or staged correctly; Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before leaving the store; Ensure Zipline messages are communicated and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed; Ensure team members comply with company policies, including the posted work schedule and clocking in/out; Perform store opening and closing duties, including day end procedures, money verification and deposits, security, alarms, and securing delivery vehicles; Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles; All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Sales Specialist Training; Assistant Manager Certification; RSS Certification

Nice to have

Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired); Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
