Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager's absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers. Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations; Manage the store during the Store Manager's absence and/or when working opposing shifts; Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers; Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including execution of customer service programs; Ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak business hours; Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring training is current; Assist in the hiring process, including recruiting tasks, interviews and candidate evaluation; Ensure telephones are answered according to company policy; Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders are processed timely and customers are contacted on arrival as needed; Use the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases; Ensure retail returns and exchanges are processed efficiently, refunds are accurate, and returned merchandise is staged correctly; Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before leaving the store; Ensure Zipline messages are communicated and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed; Ensure team members comply with company policies, including posted work schedules and clock in/out; Perform store opening and closing duties, including day-end procedures, cash/deposit handling, security and alarm procedures, and securing delivery vehicles; Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles; All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Sales Specialist Training; Assistant Manager Certification; RSS Certification

Nice to have

Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired); Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
