Associate Director – Building Control

A highly respected, employee-owned Building Control consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Director – Building Control to join its Hinckley office and become a key member of the Senior Management Team. The successful Associate Director – Building Control will take on a dual strategic and operational position, combining senior leadership responsibilities with team management and hands-on project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Associate Director – Building Control seeking genuine influence over business growth, service development and future company direction.

Responsibilities

Contributing to the strategic direction of the business; Managing, mentoring and developing a team of Building Inspectors; Overseeing workloads, performance and service delivery; Acting as the Registered Building Inspector for allocated projects; Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships; Supporting the growth of Building Control and consultancy services; Ensuring projects meet regulatory and professional standards; Balancing commercial objectives with technical delivery

Requirements

Extensive Building Control experience; Strong understanding of current Building Safety Regulator requirements; Registered Building Inspector at Class 3G or 3H; Proven leadership or team management experience; Relevant professional qualification with CABE, RICS or equivalent; Strong commercial and client management skills; Excellent technical, organisational and decision-making ability; Confident balancing strategic leadership with project delivery
