Autism Support Practitioner – Specialist School | Southampton. £14.25 per hour | September Start | Long-Term Position. A well-established SEND school in Southampton is seeking compassionate Autism Support Practitioners to join its dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in helping students achieve both academically and personally. Your Role: Providing classroom support to pupils with Autism and associated needs; Assisting with communication, emotional regulation and social interaction; Supporting students to access learning activities; Encouraging independence and confidence; Working collaboratively with staff and families. Ideal Candidate: Experience within education, care or support settings is beneficial; Positive and proactive attitude; Ability to remain calm under pressure; Passion for supporting young people with SEND.
