Childrens Coach

At KidStrong, we help parents build stronger, smarter, more athletic kids. KidStrong is a milestone accelerator for kids walking through 11 years old. We help parents discover their child's superpowers and build future-ready kids who are confident making friends running the playground and raising their hands high in the classroom. KidStrong Summerville is rapidly growing, and we're looking for a talented, enthusiastic Childrens Coach who is passionate, energetic, and excited to engage with parents and kids and make an impact on their lives.

Responsibilities

Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children; Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team; Ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum; Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at the beginning of class; Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading the class; Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises; Ensure cleanliness of the center, including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors; Use the KS Coach's App to record class data and provide records of data for parents; Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack; Complete training through FranConnect as required by the HQ Training and Certification team; Assist parents of students ages three and younger with the direction and flow of a class; Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by the KidStrong Director; Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month's curriculum

Requirements

Passion for working with children; Athletic or coaching experience; Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding the KidStrong curriculum; Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics; CPR certified; Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills; Self-starter who just gets a job done; Ability to work in a physically intensive environment; Comfortable working hands-on with kids; Obtain certified status by the HQ Training and Certification team

Nice to have

Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age (12 months to 11 years old); Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum
