Daily Substitute Teacher

ACCEL Schools is hiring Daily Substitute Teachers to support Barber Preparatory Academy and Inkster Preparatory Academy in Michigan. Our schools are dedicated to providing a superior education and fostering a love of learning in every student. We're looking for passionate, committed educators who bring lessons to life and create positive, engaging classrooms that support both academic growth and social-emotional development. ACCEL Schools are public charter schools serving PK–8 students in Highland Park and Inkster, MI.

Responsibilities

Support classroom instruction and help maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment; Supervise students throughout the school day (classroom, hallways, playground, cafeteria); Follow provided lesson plans and school procedures; Utilize school-approved curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students; Build positive relationships with students and school staff; Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues; Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Eligible for or currently hold a State of Michigan Substitute Teaching License; Minimum of 60 completed college credit hours (education or related field preferred); Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to manage confidential information appropriately; Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
