Deck Supervisor

Summary: We’re looking for a confident, organized, and coaching-minded leader to join our team as a Deck Supervisor. This is a shift leadership role at its core - you’ll oversee the flow of lessons, lead and develop your deck team, and make sure every student and family has a golden experience every single visit. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, takes ownership seriously, communicates with clarity, and gets energy from helping others grow, this role is built for you.

Responsibilities

Own the shift from start to finish; Coach Swim Instructors, Deck Assistants, and Lifeguards through direct observation and feedback; Interact with parents and guardians at the end of every lesson to discuss student progress; Complete daily Deck Supervisor logs and monitor student attendance; Conduct periodic evaluations of Swim Instructors; Coordinate facility cleanliness tasks; Help arrange coverage for absent team members; Step in as a substitute Swim Instructor or Lifeguard when needed; Identify areas for improvement and help implement corrective action through training

Requirements

Current Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required and must remain active; Must be available for evening and weekend shifts; Confident, organized, and coaching-minded leader; Thrives in a fast-moving environment; Takes ownership seriously; Communicates with clarity; Gets energy from helping others grow; A natural coach who gives feedback early, often, and with intention; Calm under pressure and able to make decisions quickly when it matters

Nice to have

Background in youth sports coaching, camp leadership, or teaching is a plus
