Responsibilities

Technical resource for environmental management and monitoring plan (EMMP), environmental baseline surveys (EBS), environmental impact assessment (EIA); Design, develop, and update EMMP technical specification for terrestrial environments in compliance with regulatory requirements and project objectives.; Define monitoring indicators, methodologies, and reporting frameworks.; Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables; Coordinate and conduct field monitoring activities, including soil, vegetation, wildlife, and habitat assessments.; Perform monitoring for water quality, air quality, and noise levels in terrestrial project areas.; Verify accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting to stakeholders.; Monitor adherence to environmental standards, permits, and legal obligations.; Analyze monitoring results and recommend effective mitigation measures to minimize environmental impacts.; Liaise with regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholder representatives.; Prepare and present environmental performance reports.; Contribute to adaptive management strategies based on monitoring results.; Research and integrate best practices and innovative technologies for environmental monitoring.; Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.; Develop cost estimates of technical efforts for EMMP, EBS and EIA projects; Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.; Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in environmental management, monitoring, and compliance for terrestrial projects.; Experience with environmental monitoring techniques (soil, water, air, noise, biodiversity).; Familiarity with EIA, EMMP, and EBS processes.; Ability to use data analysis tools (Excel, GIS, or statistical software).; Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and coordinate field activities.; Experience with field surveys and sampling protocols.; Budgeting and cost estimation skills for environmental projects.; Candidates with strong experience may be considered for a senior-level appointment.
