Full-Time Assistant Manager

We're on the search for a Full-Time Assistant Manager that will help lead our civic minded, pop culture driven brand. You'll support the Store Manager in achieving store objectives with regards to hitting sales targets, recruiting, and development. You're Harry Potter and Luke Skywalker rolled into one; you can handle anything that comes your way while driving sales and building lifelong relationships with our customers.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and/or comp sales goals; Help recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative, passionate team; Create buzz and customer engagement through promotion of new products, use of social media platforms, and additional services such as BOPIS and curbside pickup; Provide leadership in running an operationally sound business, balancing operations, delegation/autonomy, and customer-first selling practices; Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules; Communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback; Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy to hit sales targets; Merchandise the store using planograms as a guide and launch all promotions on time; Develop a team of loyal, high-performing, customer-focused associates in partnership with the Store Manager

Requirements

At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience; Experience leading teams to success; Skills in communication, recruiting, and operations (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising); Ability to develop team members; Time management and professionalism; Must be at least 18 years of age; High school diploma or GED equivalent; Ability to adapt to a fast-changing retail industry; Ability to navigate the store, merchandise product using approved store equipment, and pack and unpack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation)
