Merchandising Associate (Part-Time)

The Merchandising Associate is located at the AG Retail location and reports directly to the Assist Operations and Merchandising Manager. This position is responsible for assisting the visual merchandising manager with daily operations, including stocking merchandise on the sales floor, unloading trucks, and inventory management. The American Girl Retail team provides lifetime memories to American Girl fans and their families through experiential retail stores offering Girl and Doll Salons, Full-Service Restaurants, Personal Shopping, Ear Piercing (Girl and Doll), and hosted Parties/Celebrations. The pay range for this position is between $15 and $17.25 per hour; base pay will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.

Responsibilities

Assist visual merchandising manager with daily operations, including stocking merchandise on the sales floor, unloading trucks, and inventory management; Assist visual merchandising manager in the execution of display window changes, merchandise changes and planogram layouts, and graphic changes; Create dynamic displays using dolls and complementary product; Keep current on product knowledge; Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing tasks based on business need and troubleshoot when product availability becomes an issue; Maintain the overall visual and merchandising standards of the store consistent with the organization's vision of the brand; Develop and maintain positive, cooperative relationships with staff, management, and corporate partners; Provide assistance to customers as needed; Stock merchandise when needed

Requirements

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice to have

1 – 2 years of successful work experience in retail merchandising, retail, or related field which includes expertise in customer service; Manual skills in doll styling, straight blade cutting, and minor assembly
