Property Tax Consultant

Are you a strategic Property Tax Consultant ready to make an impact? In this role, you'll support Texas based BPP, with clients across the oil and gas, construction/building supplies, retail, and transportation industries. Leveraging your expertise, negotiation skills, and attention to detail, you'll help deliver significant tax savings and improved cash flow for clients while utilizing innovative technology and industry-leading resources to drive success.

Responsibilities

Determines taxability and identifies issues for a book of clients; Drives down taxable value through our unique approach to valuation and negotiation; Completes independent data analysis that allows others to analyze results and determine scope/direction of appeals; Provides recommendations to management for course appeal recommendations and/or next steps of a project or appeal; Provides accurate analysis and timely filing of renditions, notices, appeals, and bills; Communicates with taxing authorities and builds relationships with tax assessors; Communications with clients and others outside the organization to obtain information and other valuation-based documentation; Reviews and approves tax bills; prepares Tax Savings Reports for clients

Requirements

Applicants must reside in the DFW metroplex and be able to work a hybrid model, currently consisting of two (2) days in office and three (3) days remote weekly; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; 1-3 years of previous relevant business personal property experience working with books of business across Texas; Strong Excel skills; Critical thinking skill with attention to detail; Ability to consolidate and analyze large and complex data sets; Ability to prioritize recurring statutory deadlines to ensure timely submissions at the local jurisdictions nationwide; Strong Communication and presentation skills; Possess a strong understanding of valuation of property; Work well independently as well as part of a team; Able to build strong internal and external working relationships; A keen manager of your time and prioritizing tasks effectively; The ability to travel as required to attend appeal hearings, property inspections, and client meetings
