Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - SEMH Focused

Pink Tile Education is recruiting for a specialist school near Emsworth that supports young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology graduate looking to gain practical experience supporting young people who may have experienced trauma, anxiety, behavioural challenges or barriers to mainstream education. The school takes a therapeutic and relationship-led approach, helping pupils build resilience, confidence and positive pathways for the future.

Responsibilities

Supporting students with SEMH needs throughout the school day; Working on a 1:1 and small group basis; Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies; Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils; Supporting classroom learning and engagement; Working alongside teaching, pastoral and therapy teams

Requirements

Psychology graduates or graduates from a related discipline; An interest in mental health, behaviour and child development; Emotional resilience and a calm, proactive nature; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; A passion for supporting vulnerable young people; Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
