Sr Extend Services Consultant - Workday Advisory services

We are looking for a consultant or developer with extensive knowledge of web service technologies (GraphQL, REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) and authentication and authorization methods (OAuth, JWT, WS-Security, SAML, X.509, etc.). The Workday Success Plans team works directly with customers through targeted micro consulting engagements to help solve their business needs using the Workday application.

Responsibilities

Guide customers through Workday configuration, providing expert advice and best practices; Demonstrate Workday capabilities and lead customers towards optimal solutions; Resolve product configuration challenges and optimize solutions to meet business needs; Cultivate strong customer relationships through effective communication, presentations, and consultations; Develop and deliver webinars that showcase Workday's potential for achieving business goals; Champion Workday product expertise, staying current with Workday certifications and the product roadmap; Keep up with industry best practices and engage with customers on relevant topics; Contribute to programs that drive customer feature adoption; Perform configuration and business requirements reviews with a detailed deliverable calling out opportunities for optimization; Provide one-on-one customer configuration designs; Deployments including full deployment of Workday features

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of web service technologies (GraphQL, REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) and authentication and authorization methods (OAuth, JWT, WS-Security, SAML, X.509, etc.); 4+ years of Extend experience, preferably Workday Extend certified; 6-8 years of Workday Integrations experience; Hands-on experience with web services/application types (REST or SOAP); Familiarity with data formats (JSON, XML); Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar programming languages; Interest in learning about authentication technologies (OAuth, JWT, etc.); A problem-solving mindset and a desire to engage with customers and grow professionally

Nice to have

Overall 8-10 years of experience in consulting or customer-facing environments; Certified or ability to certify in Orchestrate for Integrations (O4I); Ability to gain a thorough understanding of Workday concepts as new features are released; Ability to distill complex concepts into understandable presentations for our customers; Ability to multitask and work on multiple engagements and deliverables simultaneously; Strong critical thinking skills so as to understand complex, technical process issues and facilitate/influence decision-making; Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
