Sr. Field Performance Technician

The Field Performance Technicians are responsible for the management, scheduling, and completion of all service and warranty related work. The Field Service / Field Performance Technician must have the ability to work both independently and as a member of the Performance O&M team. This position will interact closely with the customers, Branch Manager, the Senior Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor and the centralized scheduling Field Service Team.

Responsibilities

Organize, lead, and maintain the warranty and service schedule; Work with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor and the Branch Manager to allocate labor resources; Assist with training and development for Field Service Technicians and Field Communications Technicians; Lead regular meetings to align and train the local field service team; Support the on-boarding and training of new members of the field performance team; Regularly exceed defined goals for field performance key performance indicators; Assist with other tasks including inspections and site audits when assigned

Requirements

1 - 3 years of previous field construction or solar experience required; High School diploma required; Must maintain a clean driving record with ability to pass a driving background check; Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license; Depending on state requirements, Electrical Journeyman certification or license may be required; Knowledge of NEC and applicable codes and standards; Must be a motivated team player; Proven track record of excellent customer service; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent organizational and time management skills; Strong computer skills; Electrical/PV installation knowledge including current NEC codes, single line drawings, PV systems from roof to meter, electrical principles, interconnection, and basic construction principles; Adheres to company safety policies and procedures; Ability to establish rapport and build relationships with customers and coworkers; Proven ability to meet deadlines and key metrics; Solid logical decision making and troubleshooting skills; Ability to transport materials and equipment up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance; Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces; Ability to climb ladders; Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, wet, humidity, and noise; Ability to use hand functions requiring fine motor skills; Ability to work within safe range of equipment such as ladders, fall protection harnesses, and PPE; Ability to maintain balance on roofs and heights; Ability to work in sun and low light conditions; Ability to walk on rafters, roof tiles, and roof shingles without damage; Ability to distinguish colors; Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces; Ability to hear verbal commands and warnings; Ability to work with chemicals using appropriate protections

Nice to have

PV design or PV electrical experience preferred; Valid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification or license preferred
