Swim Instructor/Lifeguard

At Goldfish, the mission is simple - teach children to be safer in and around the water, while making their experience Golden. Swim Instructors teach children 4 months to 12 years old water safety & swimming techniques using the Goldfish Swim School curriculum, provide positive reinforcement to students, communicate to parents on swimmers' progress, lifeguard and maintain safety in the water, administer first aid when necessary, and respond to emergencies in and around the pool. Good swim instructors are patient, considerate, genuine, responsible, and consistent.

Responsibilities

Teach children 4 months to 12 years old water safety & swimming techniques using the Goldfish Swim School curriculum; Provide positive reinforcement to students; Communicate to parents on swimmers' progress; Obtain lifeguard & CPR/AED certification; Lifeguard and maintain safety in the water; Administer first aid when necessary; Respond to emergencies in and around the pool

Requirements

Lifeguard & CPR/AED certification required (paid training available); ability to work evenings and weekends; reliable transportation; patient; considerate; genuine; responsible and consistent

Nice to have

Experience working with children; previous lifeguard certification
