Trainee Laboratory Technician

As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Trainee Laboratory Technician to join our Materials Testing business unit and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Trainee Laboratory Technician to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in testing concrete, soils, aggregates and bituminous mixtures, along with knowledge of UKAS accredited laboratory practices, is essential to thrive in this position.

Responsibilities

Testing of construction materials; Completion of test sheets, including all calculations; Production of reports in line with QA systems

Requirements

No previous experience required as full training given; GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths; Experience of laboratory testing of construction materials; Health & safety focused approach
