Pay Range: $18-$21/hr

Job Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations and treatments; Safely restrain and handle dogs, cats, and other patients; Prepare examination and treatment areas; Clean and disinfect kennels, equipment, and treatment areas; Assist with animal care, feeding, walking, and monitoring; Collect, prepare and perform laboratory samples as directed; Assist with Radiographs and ultrasounds; Help maintain accurate medical records; Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients (in-person as well as over the phone); Provide support during procedures and appointments; Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment; Perform other duties as needed to support the veterinary team

Requirements

Previous veterinary experience preferred - 1 year minimum.; A genuine love and respect for animals; Strong communication and organizational skills; Ability to work effectively as part of a team; Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn; Comfortable working with animals of different sizes and temperaments; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure; Proficient in sample collection and obtaining medical histories; Veterinary Assistant certification is a plus but not required; Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
