Buyer

A Retail business in Lekki is sourcing for a Buyer who will be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our business.

Responsibilities

Research, select and purchase quality products and materials for the business.; Identify and select vendors and suppliers using measures like quantity and quality of product, price, and delivery date; Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.; Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.; Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.; Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.; Liaise with Store Manager to plan demand.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.; 4 years relevant experience in procurement/purchasing role.; Comprehensive knowledge of products in a food production environment; Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).; Proficient in the use of any ERP software.
