Responsibilities

Make People Operations fast, frictionless, and invisible to the business; Lead and develop the People Operations and Payroll team; Own the operating model and service standard for how P&C shows up for the business; Build a team and processes that scale with the company; Apply AI and automation systematically across the employee lifecycle; Own the People tooling stack (Personio and beyond); Redesign processes using AI, automation, and smart systems to eliminate manual work; Ensure efficient never means impersonal for a remote/hybrid, multi-country workforce; Be the standard-bearer for service quality; Own payroll governance and vendor coordination across entities; Coordinate Employer of Record (EOR) relationships; Ensure GDPR compliance and labour law alignment across a multi-entity, multi-country setup; Own policy creation and maintenance; Take on projects beyond Ops as priorities shift

Requirements

Senior People professional with a track record spanning both Business Partnering and People Operations; Experience across start-up, scale-up, and enterprise environments; A genuine, provable track record of using AI and automation to redesign People processes; People leadership experience; You naturally question inefficient processes instead of accepting them; Personio (or comparable HRIS) super-user experience; Multi-country experience running complex ER cases, GDPR, and payroll coordination across Europe; Fluent in German and English, spoken and written; Based in or willing to relocate to the Stuttgart area with regular presence at Ludwigsburg HQ
