Tech Recruiter (R&D)

Wordsmith is building the legal operations platform for in-house teams. We’re hiring a Technical Recruiter to support hiring across our R&D organisation. This includes Product Engineers, AI/LLM Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers. You’ll work across disciplines, partnering with leaders to build balanced, high-performing teams. This is a hands-on role.

Responsibilities

Own hiring across engineering, product, and design; Build strong pipelines through proactive sourcing across the UK and Europe; Identify and engage high-quality candidates across multiple disciplines; Partner with engineering, product, and design leaders to define roles and hiring plans; Run end-to-end hiring processes, from role kick-off to offer; Maintain a high bar on candidate quality and experience; Improve hiring playbooks, interview design, and recruiting systems as we scale

Requirements

Experience hiring across engineering and at least one of product or design; Strong sourcing ability and confidence engaging passive candidates; Good judgement on different role types — you understand what strong looks like across disciplines; Ability to partner with technical and product stakeholders; High ownership and consistency — you keep processes moving and close roles; Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment; Based in Edinburgh or willing to relocate
