Care Assistant

Support Independence. Bring Comfort. Make a Real Impact. We’re looking for compassionate, reliable people to join our supportive Basildon branch team as Care Professionals. Unlike hospital or residential care, community homecare is all about enabling vulnerable adults to remain safely and happily in the place they love most—their own homes. You'll be building relationships, providing vital companionship, and helping people maintain their dignity and independence. Whether it’s sharing a cup of tea and a chat, or assisting with daily personal routines, you are the friendly face that brightens their day.

Responsibilities

Support people to stay independent in their own homes; Provide personal care with dignity and respect (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming); Assist with medication (preparation and administration); Help with mobility and use aids/equipment safely; Prepare meals/snacks and offer mealtime support; Carry out light domestic duties (laundry, making beds, light cleaning); Offer companionship and reassurance; Encourage social engagement and family connections; Monitor health and report changes to healthcare professionals and family; Maintain accurate documentation of care provided; Respond to emergencies safely and effectively; Work collaboratively with families and the wider care team

Requirements

Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle; Right to work within the UK (visa sponsorship not available); Compassion; Communication skills; Problem-solving skills; Commitment to respectful, high-quality care; Resilience; Eagerness to learn

Nice to have

At least 6 months of social care experience
