CDL Switcher/Shuttler

The CDL Switcher/Shuttle Driver is responsible for shuttling merchandise or raw materials between properties. They will also deliver local backhauls as needed.

Responsibilities

Shuttling merchandise or raw materials between properties; Delivering local backhauls as needed; Operating tractor/trailer trucks, straight body trucks, forklifts and floor jacks; Performing DOT and Company required pre-trip safety inspections and maintaining logs and records; Keeping daily records including trip reports and trailer yard inventory; Maintaining exterior of dock areas and equipment; Inspecting tail end of drop trailer loads to ensure products are properly secured and affixing trailer seals; Practicing and adhering to safety and hygiene guidelines; Assisting in product transfer from warehouse racks to trucks; Maintaining general housekeeping duties

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required; Knowledgeable of Department of Transportation rules and regulations; Ability to operate Material Handling equipment; CDL Class A Driver's license; DOT Medical Card; CDL Tank Vehicle Endorsement (if applicable); Required to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

Nice to have

A minimum of 6 months of driving tractor trailers experience preferred
