Controller

Our client is a luxury consumer goods company seeking a Controller who will provide strategic and hands-on accounting work for the growing company.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage daily cash flow including transfers, funding needs, and working capital management; Manage AP/AR, invoice processing, and payroll duties daily; Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes; Prepare and review journal entries and accruals; Perform and oversee bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations; Produce financial reports, cash flow statements, dashboards, and KPIs; Build financial models, forecasts, and cash flow projections; Prepare budgets vs. actuals including variance analysis and reporting; Oversee inventory valuation and ensure alignment between financial and operational data; Manage onboarding of payroll/benefits set-up for new employees; Oversee company health benefits, 401k, and retirement accounts

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; 8-10 years of related accounting experience; Experience managing a team; Experience with AP/AR, journal entries, and cash flow management; Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

Nice to have

CPA preferred; Experience in NetSuite, Shopify, and Bill.com preferred
