Cybersecurity Engineer (Check Point)

Horizon Industries Limited (Horizon) is a dynamic IT and Management Consulting firm based in the Washington, DC area. Full-time position supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) onsite in Columbus, OH, or Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized cybersecurity problems; Integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to cybersecurity requirements; Analyzes information security requirements; Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning; Provides security engineering support for planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, integration of information systems

Requirements

Seven (7) years of relevant IT experience; DOD Top Secret clearance; Primary DCWF Work Role 521: Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support, Proficiency Level: Intermediate; Secondary DCWF Work Role 441: Network Operations Specialist, Proficiency Level: Intermediate; Computing Environment: Trellix IPS manager, Check Point Threat Prevention Specialist (CTPS); Four (4) years of experience creating customized signatures using SNORT
