Environmental Services, Muskogee Housekeeping Supervisor (1st shift)

The Supervisor, Environmental Services oversees activities of environmental services and performs environmental services responsibilities to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and employees. Safety sensitive position. Monday - Friday, every other weekend, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities

Supervises activities of housekeeping and performs housekeeping responsibilities to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and employees; Inspects areas for cleanliness by completing 75% of monthly q-checks, reporting maintenance deficiencies, and following up and correcting deficiencies; Investigates housekeeping complaints/concerns by following up with unit managers, families, guests and patients; Prepares work schedules, including regular days off, PTO, daily assignments and project work; Prepares employee evaluations and disciplinary actions, conducts monthly team meetings, and conducts new employee orientation and training; Ensures employee compliance with departmental policies, cleaning procedures, equipment and chemical use, and infection control practices; Coordinates movement of furniture, beds and equipment, and delivers supplies to housekeeping closets as needed; Performs occupied bed cleaning, dismissal cleaning and general cleaning, including relief coverage; Attends mandatory in-services and participates in continuing education

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; Minimum 2 years of related experience; Working knowledge of ERP, Microsoft Word, Excel and Bed tracking; Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; Ability to integrate the analysis of data to discover facts or develop knowledge, concepts or interpretations; Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner; Ability to be detail oriented in the examination of clinical and numerical data; Ability to multi-task
