Prepares, presents and serves meals, ensuring the quality of the food and overall presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepares, presents and serves meals, ensuring the quality of the food and overall presentation; Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables; Carries pans, kettles and trays of food safely; Stores food following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures; Sets up items for purchase on a daily basis; Performs general cleaning duties and removes trash; Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment; Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards; Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner; Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor; Assures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements; Provides service in retail areas including cashiering and line serving

Requirements

FoodSafe Level 1 Certification; Strong time management and organizational skills to manage heavy workload; Ability to work both independently and in team setting as required; Good command of English language, both verbal and written, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions; Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position

Nice to have

Familiar with the use of a cash register; Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant or fast food
