Hong Kong Summer Vacation Scheme 2027

A vacation scheme is the perfect way to learn about working at Clifford Chance and meet our people. Joining the vacation scheme means you will be considered for a Training Contract at the firm. The four-week scheme allows you to follow the life of a lawyer, sitting in two different practice areas and working with lawyers on real, live client projects. Blocks in 2027: Block One: 31 May - 25 June 2027; Block Two: 28 June - 23 July 2027. Candidates may indicate in the application form if they are only available for one block.

Responsibilities

Sit in two different practice areas, working with lawyers on real, live client projects; Be treated as part of the team and given opportunities to demonstrate your ability; Attend training sessions from professionals across the firm; Participate in 1:1 sessions and group socials

Requirements

A consistently strong academic record; Strong interpersonal skills; Commerciality; Ambition, drive and commitment; A law or combined degree from a university in Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or England that enables you to begin a Hong Kong training contract after the Post Graduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL); Applications from non-law graduates who have taken the Graduate Diploma in Law (Common Professional Examination) are also welcome

Nice to have

Ability to speak Mandarin or a Chinese dialect; Ability to read and write Chinese
