House Attendant (AM & PM Shifts)

The House Attendant responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the public areas of the resort. Responsibilities might include deep cleaning of assigned areas, delivering service items to guest rooms upon requests from the front desk or other department calls.

Responsibilities

Cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the public areas of the resort; Deep cleaning of assigned areas; Delivering service items to guest rooms upon requests from the front desk or other department calls; Complying at all times with South Seas standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations; Ensuring each shift by visiting assigned floors and collecting trash, dirty linen, and other materials as instructed; Assisting with cleaning public areas not limited to hallways, lobby, and other workspaces; Completing daily assignment checklists and submitting them to supervisor; Handling items for lost and found according to resort standards; Retrieving clean linens from housekeeping storage facilities and distributing them to each floor; Ensuring the highest level of customer service by anticipating and responding quickly to guests' requests; Making deliveries to guest rooms for guest-requested items such as amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, bedding, and linens; At the end of the shift, turning in all the keys and assignment sheets to the Housekeeping Office; Practicing safe work habits to ensure safety to guests, fellow associates, and self; Performing other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Must have a valid driver's license; Motor vehicle background check will be completed; Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly; Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately; Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations; Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure; Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns or issues raised by coworkers and/or guests; Must be able to work as a team and independently; Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop for prolonged periods of time; Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds; Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment; Must be able to work in different types of weather sometimes extreme, including high temperatures and humidity; 40 hours per week, flexible schedule, required to work weekends and/or holidays
