IKEA Alexandra : IKEA Food Assistant (Swedish Food Market & Bistro) – 1 Year Contract

About the job

Reporting to the Swedish Food Market (SFM) & Bistro Manager, you will assist to support the daily operations of SFM & Bistro, ensuring good housekeeping in the work area, delivering food of exceptional quality, and providing excellent customer service to our IKEA customers.

Your assignment

- Support in taking orders through the cash register at Swedish Food Market (SFM) & Bistro.
- Assist with processing food orders at the bistro counter.
- Help prepare meal ingredients and maintain cleanliness and hygiene in food preparation areas.
- Support in cleaning and sanitising food preparation areas according to hygiene standards.
- Assist with unloading delivered food supplies, check stock inventory, and ensure accuracy.
- Practice First-In-First-Out (FIFO) in all products to ensure freshness and quality of food.
- Adhere to operating procedures and contribute to high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (Q.S.C.), in line with Food Safety and Hygiene practices.
- Assist with store operations and contribute to the Functional Commercial Review Standards

You are motivated, responsible, and have good time management skills.; You are a good team player who is also able to work independently.; You can withstand prolonged hours of standing and work in a fast-paced food environment.; You can commit to working on AM/PM shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
