Inventory Stock Associate

The Inventory Stock Associate is focused on maintaining accurate inventory, efficient product flow, and a clean/organized store environment. This role is responsible for receiving/posting freight, cycle counts, shelving/organization/maintenance of inventory, accurate and timely order pulling for delivery drivers, counter customers, and will-call. This role requires strong technical knowledge of automotive parts, the ability to identify and source the correct parts, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. The position also serves as a key resource for internal team members on product and system knowledge.

Responsibilities

Pull all orders to be delivered by drivers to wholesale customers and for main counter retail/wholesale customers and will-call accurately and completely, meeting prescribed time frames; Receive, post, stock, and organize incoming merchandise and maintain accurate shelving and product placement; Conduct cycle counts and support ongoing inventory accuracy and record maintenance; Perform general housekeeping, facility cleaning, packing material/pallet disposal, and area-specific organization while adhering to safety rules including hazardous materials handling; Proficiently use inventory systems for coordination, dispatching support, and fulfillment efficiency; Periodically assist customers via phone or in person and provide basic support or escalate appropriately; Utilize delivery management systems to coordinate and dispatch deliveries and prepare orders; Contribute to store operations and team support tasks to optimize store performance, merchandising, and efficiency; Support continuous improvement initiatives related to store processes and operational standards

Requirements

At least 1 year previous experience stocking, loading, or pulling; High School Diploma, or equivalent experience, required; Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers and line codes, including identifying sequences of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly; Must be able to write legibly; Must have basic understanding and be capable of operating a computer terminal; Must be capable of lifting and moving parts of up to 60 pounds and push/pull 300 pounds using hitch-and-go dolly; Must be able to move engine blocks and other heavy equipment with moving aids such as hand trucks, dollies, motorized carts, pallet jacks; Must be able to repeatedly bend or stoop to ground level shelves and reach upper shelves (8 feet) with a stool or ladder when necessary; Must be able to work on their feet (stand or walk) for their assigned work shifts
