Responsibilities

Collaborating with business users to define new application requirements.; Developing, testing, and maintaining clean, performant code for client applications.; Supporting project delivery alongside Project Managers and senior developers.; Working as part of a close-knit team to deliver solutions on time and on budget.; Analysing large-scale time-series data and generating actionable reports.; Mentoring junior developers and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements

2+ years of hands-on kdb+ development experience working with both real-time and historical data.; Solid understanding of q language and time-series data structures.; Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.; Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.; Familiarity with software development methodologies and the SDLC.; Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.; Excellent communication skills to explain complex systems to technical and non-technical stakeholders; Prior experience of working in Capital Markets/Investment Banking is advantageous but not essential

Nice to have

Experience in Capital Markets or Investment Banking.; Knowledge of Python, cloud platforms, or other time-series databases.; Exposure to AI tooling (Claude, Co-Pilot); Exposure to project leadership or people management.; Contribution to internal tools, documentation, or community initiatives.
