On-Site Service Technician

Responsible for providing hazardous and non-hazardous services at client facility to meet client's environmental needs in accordance with State and Federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. Works in a supervised and/or independent capacity to successfully and safely complete scheduled projects for customers. Applicant will receive training at multiple sites and may report to different work locations. Responsibilities

Provide hazardous and non-hazardous services at client facility in accordance with State and Federal environmental, health, and safety regulations; Pack, label, manifest, and ship waste based on contract parameters; Maintain a professional image with clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and potential problems; Manage onsite customer's hazardous and non-hazardous waste needs per the contract; Comply and enforce all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures; Ensure completion and accuracy of all US DOT/EPA paperwork to expedite disposal of hazardous waste; Operate and maintain all equipment in a safe manner to complete assigned projects in a timely manner; Know and understand contract terms and follow through on assignments; Travel to various job-sites within a 90-minute radius of Raleigh; Perform other work related duties, as assigned; Work in clean storage warehouse, household hazardous waste, laboratory activities, and waste sampling and handling

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Science related discipline; Strong leadership and teamwork skills; Proficiency with project/time management; Knowledge of continuous process operations, chemical processing and waste disposal; Computer proficiency with Google Office; OSHA 40 hour Hazwoper Certification; Normal close range vision for reading; Manual dexterity to handle paper flow and computer keyboard operation; Mobility and hearing to gather information and confer with others; Health must permit regular attendance and extended hours to meet deadlines; Ability and willingness to travel to various job-sites within a 90-minute radius of Raleigh
