Principal Data Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Data Architect to join our Cloud Data Engineering Practice. The Principal Data Architect will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex cloud-based data solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud data and analytics technologies.

Responsibilities

Define strategic roadmaps and targeted outcomes for clients in a consultative capacity; Act as a data engineering SME to define upcoming engagements working with pre-sales teams; Perform technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates and provide technical guidance to Architects and Engineers; Oversee the development and implementation of data standards and operating procedures; Lead the design and implementation of complex cloud-based data solutions for customers

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in AWS data landscape; 10 years of experience designing and building complex data systems; Traditional Data experience in at least 2 of: Relational database design, optimization and migration; Data modeling for transactional and analytics systems including industry standard data models; BI dashboards and visualizations; Data Governance and MDM; New Data experience in at least 2 of: Big data processing using Spark, Streaming solutions, and NoSQL; Machine Learning and MLOps with proficiency in Sagemaker; GenAI Foundational Models and related frameworks with proficiency in Bedrock; DataOps practices (Infrastructure as Code, Data Testing, Data Versioning, etc); Experience with at least two of: Infrastructure as Code tools, CI/CD pipelines and tools, Python for analytics (numpy, pandas, matplotlib, etc.) and automation; Strong drive towards standardizing and documenting approach and solutions; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Current legal authorization to work in Brazil
