Retail Management Trainee

Development program designed to develop future frontline Managers who will lead teams and ensure operational excellence. Offered for a period of up to 6 months, with participants rotating through major functions and sites in the province of Quebec (e.g., Montreal, Laval, and the North Shore). Functions include Call Center, Dispatch, Car purchasing and sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, Systems and tools, Accident/Injury Investigation, Training on AIM Campus, and Health and Safety. The program is hands-on and field-based, with most of the day spent working directly with frontline employees. Kenny U-Pull is a division of American Iron & Metal (AIM), a metal recycling company with 27 auto recycling yards across Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

Responsibilities

Lead operations in a branch including yard management and depollution; Lead retail activities in a branch, assisting customers throughout their purchasing, including locating products in the yard and recommending warranty options; Support vehicle purchasing and sales transactions by ensuring processes are followed and documentation is completed accurately; Identify and access relevant information efficiently; Coach and support employees in daily activities to ensure operational efficiency and service excellence; Support leadership in investigating workplace incidents and contributing to corrective action plans

Requirements

Graduate of a college, university, or trade school; 5 to 10 years of experience in retail and/or customer service; 3 to 5 years of management experience; Strong written and oral communication skills and professional email etiquette; Excellent time management and prioritization skills; Critical and logical thinking skills to support sound decision-making; Open availability, as branches are open 7 days a week; Ability to work outside and be exposed to hot and cold temperatures
