Shipping/Receiving - 1st Shift

Position is responsible for the final check, prep, painting, and packaging of all shafts. Shipping paperwork will be prepared for all shafts to be shipped by common carrier and the containers will be labelled and marked per established procedures. Appropriate paperwork is completed and distributed for all repair shafts or parts received. Other duties will include the proper storage and handling of all hazardous chemicals used in the painting process and the painting of miscellaneous machinery as needed.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the final check, prep, painting, and packaging of all shafts; Prepare shipping paperwork for all shafts shipped by common carrier and label and mark containers per established procedures; Complete and distribute paperwork for all repair shafts or parts received; Store and handle hazardous chemicals used in the painting process; Paint miscellaneous machinery as needed; Visually check completed shafts/parts for defects and proper I.D. number; Prepare paint/primer mixture, clean, prep, and paint shafts/parts; Verify that all accessories listed on the sales order are installed or included with shipment; Determine material required and build shipping crates or prepare shipping cores; Package shafts/parts/finished goods/accessories and affix proper labels and documentation; Weigh shafts to determine shipping method and complete paperwork for carrier shipments; Assist carrier with loading of product where required; Receive repair items and record type, size, accessories, serial number, customer name, date received, and transportation method; Mark identification and move repair items to proper holding area; Paint manufacturing equipment or machinery as needed; Prepare and submit order lists to maintain inventory of paint and shipping supplies; Clean and maintain equipment and inform supervisor of defects; Maintain neat and clean working area; Store all chemicals properly including flammables; Replace filter in paint booth exhaust system as required; Assist in other areas of manufacturing as required

Requirements

Wear and maintain proper safety equipment including respirators, splash goggles, gloves, and hearing protection; Work in a safe manner at all times following established policies and procedures
