Surgical Technologist

As a Surgical Technologist, you'll play a vital role in providing technical support to nursing staff and physicians during surgical procedures. Your expertise ensures a safe, efficient, and sterile environment for patients across all types of operations. Schedule: 36 hours per week, Day Shift, 7:00am - 7:30pm, Friday - Sunday. Department: Surgery.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards; Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff; Assist in setting up operating rooms with necessary instruments and supplies; Prepare and assist with surgical procedures, including draping patients and holding retractors; Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize equipment and instruments; Transport patients and assist with pre-operative preparations

Requirements

Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 6 months of hire or job transfer; Completion of a recognized scrub technician college program or minimum of two years of experience as a Surgical Technician, or one year as a Certified Surgical Technician

Nice to have

Certified Surgical Assistant credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
