Store Manager in Training

Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of store. Objective is to receive hands on training preparing manager in training for a management position in another store or future location.

Responsibilities

Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of store; Receive hands-on training to prepare for a management position; Supervise professional and retail operations and team members; Manage recruiting, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharging team members with district/store manager; Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations; Ensure safety compliance and appropriate training; Make sales calls; Support store manager in store operations; Maintain delivery fleet and records; Ensure store is neat, clean and organized; Learn electronic scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll; Manage gross profit components; Review returns, price matches, KPI dashboard, and P&L statements

Requirements

High School Diploma; Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program; Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately; Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems

Nice to have

O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience; Completed O’Reilly management training program; Advanced computer skills; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired); Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
