We are recruiting for Hatch, a global engineering and consulting leader delivering innovative solutions across the metals, energy, and infrastructure sectors. To support their continued growth, we are seeking skilled Mechanical Engineers to join their team.
As the successful candidate, you will:
• Assist in defining project scope and in the compilation and delivery of monthly engineering status reports
• Assist the Engineering Manager/Lead Mechanical Engineer with the delivery of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule
• Perform system analyses, establish user requirements, analyze system functional and performance requirements, define design criteria, and establish system layouts and designs
• Prepare engineering calculations such as hydraulic modelling, stress analysis, equipment sizing and tank, pressure vessel and bin design and ensuring that all analyses satisfy user and system requirements
• Prepare technical specifications based on input received from other disciplines
• Conduct interface management between related systems
• Prepare data sheets based on input received from other disciplines
• Prepare and contribute to technical memos and reports, within areas of expertise
• Provide input to engineering, operating and capital cost estimates
• Prepare and/or review project standard specifications and design criteria
• Prepare or provide input to 3D models and 2D mechanical drawings
• Participate in and contribute to design reviews
• Carry out assigned tasks within budget and schedule, assist in preparing proposals
• Stamp documents and drawings as required and if appropriately registered
• Manage small capital and maintenance projects
• Review and evaluate technical work prepared by junior engineers, intermediate engineers, designers, technicians and technologists
• Construction supervision and management dependent upon project demands
• Assist in the commissioning of systems on site as required.
What you bring to the role:
• B.Sc./B.Eng., M.Sc. or M.Eng. in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Registration as a professional engineer. Alternatively, registration as a candidate professional engineer actively working towards professional registration.
• Minimum five years of project engineering experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English and Polish
• Good communication, planning and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to function with minimal supervision.
• Working knowledge of industry standards, regulations and codes pertinent to the mechanical engineering discipline.
• Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team and coordinate mechanical activities between disciplines.
• Safety awareness.
Nice to have:
• Sound knowledge of Hatch 3D data centric design systems and engineering management systems
• Ability to delegate tasks and effectively supervise others
• Experience in the use of procedures and workflows in the execution of project
