Skills / Experience Requirements:
• Have overall at least 6 years of work experience as data engineer.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
• Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL, including stored procedures, functions, packages, and riggers.
• Over 2 years of hands-on experience with GCP BigQuery, Dataform scripting including data modeling, query optimization, and data manipulation.
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket/Azure Repos for version control and collaboration.
• Experience with data warehouses and ETL processes.
• Experience with integrating various data sources.
• Good knowledge of Oracle analytical functions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders (fluent English required)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Nice to have:
o Familiarity of Tableau.
o Experience with SAP and SAP BW.
o Understanding the basics of Agile framework
Responsibilities:
• Implement new functionalities & logic following defined by the business requirements, in Google Cloud Platform (mainly using BigQuery and Dataform services).
• Actively operate in relational and multidimensional databases environment.
• Participate in the process of tailoring & scaling the solution, troubleshooting, code optimization and post deployment quality checks to ensure high performance, efficient resource utilization, and in GCP costeffectiveness.
• Develop and optimize data transformation and loading processes using appropriate tools and technologies.
• Migrate and modernize existing Oracle data structures and adapt it for BigQuery while leveraging cloud-native features and functionalities, ensuring data integrity, scalability, optimal performance and cost efficiency.
• Effectively use company’s standardized pipeline components, propose adjustments and best practices to data engineering developing methods.
• Cooperate with integration and data & analytics technology teams to establish and maintain automated data lineage throughout the migration process.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and security regulations. Integrate company’s security standards into the GCP environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand and refine data requirements.
• Mentor junior team members and share your expertise with Google Cloud, Dataform and BigQuery.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Data Engineer professional to join the Risk Management organization. The Senior Cloud Data Engineer role is crucial for our strategical project, migrating Oracle Data Warehouse to Google Cloud Platform. Person allocated to this position will be involved in various activities related with understanding legacy solution, participate in design meetings, reengineering the implemented business logic, adapt SQL syntax to platform requirements, implement new requirements in Google Cloud Platform, ensuring compatibility, performance, and scalability. This role is part of the Scrum Development Team, work closely with product owner, data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data quality, security, and accessibility. The role also involves optimizing data models and queries to support reporting and analytics needs, as well as monitoring and troubleshooting of the data flow processes.
