Project
• The Senior Data Engineer will join the team and participate in the creation of an industrial IoT digital product platform. This is a long-term commitment in a real, scalable product environment-it is not a one-off project. In this role, the emphasis is on quality, ease of maintenance, and design thinking.
• The Engineer will work on an existing and evolving IoT platform, contributing to the creation of a high-quality, scalable product.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain data solutions within the platform
• Define and optimize data models for analytical, operational, and predictive applications
• Participating in decision-making regarding data architecture and technical infrastructure
• Ensuring quality and reliability through best practices in CI/CD and automation
• Collaborating with PO, developers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Project technologies: Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, SQL, ETL
Profile:
• Azure DevOps, Databricks, ETL, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, SQL Server
• Technical education (computer engineering, telecommunications, mathematics, physics, etc.)
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering
• Very good knowledge of English
Infrastructure and platform
• SQL Server and PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB (including time series schema design)
• Kubernetes for deploying data-related services
• Terraform (IaC)
• Azure DevOps: CI/CD, repositories, release management
Data engineering
• Experience working with ETL tools (Node-RED, Apache NiFi)
• Knowledge of modern cloud-based ETL frameworks (especially Databricks)
• Ability to design efficient data models at the architecture level
• Ability to perform data analysis and collaborate on business-oriented analytical structures
IoT
• Technical knowledge of Azure IoT Hub: data acquisition, device management, telemetry, scalability
• Additional advantage: knowledge of industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA, etc.)
Nice to have
• Experience with analytical and visualization tools (R, Python, Grafana)
• Experience with industrial digital platforms or smart factory environments
• Experience working in agile software development teams (Scrum)
